WaltDavis.net began as a challenge to custom build the hardware and software needed for a small IT center using open source technology.

Many projects later; Multiple DMZ security zones, fully functional PBX
system, DNS servers, application servers, email gateway, intrusion detection, and
many other common IT services.

These projects resulted in an
impressive 72'' rack containing a lot of cable, a layer 2 switch, a multi network router, and several dedicated servers.
